ASK BEN — Knowledge in Motion

The question is not what the tool can do.

Helping organisations understand, adopt and integrate artificial intelligence, and build the competence to keep going without me.

The problem

Everyone has tools, nobody has a standard

Licences are bought, a few people become power users, most quietly carry on as before, and nobody can say what good use looks like or who is responsible for it. The gap is not technology. It is competence, and a decision about what your people must be able to do.

The work

What I do

AIAI consulting
  • AssessmentWhere the organisation stands, and what is realistic within a year
  • Competence frameworkWhat each role must be able to do, written down and assessable
  • IntroductionFrom strategy through pilot to rollout, with the people who will use it
  • GovernanceRules, responsibilities and the questions that must be asked before a tool is adopted
  • TrainingThe part most projects skip, and the reason most of them stall
Outcome

What you get

Owned

Your people can explain what they do and why, without a consultant in the room.

Assessable

Competence you can actually verify, rather than a licence count.

Current

A structure for keeping up, because the field moves faster than any rollout plan.

Process

How it runs

01

Assessment

A short, honest picture of where you stand and what is realistic.

02

Framework and pilot

What each role must be able to do, tested with one team before it goes wide.

03

Rollout and handover

Training, governance and the internal owner who takes it from here.

Before you write

Questions I am usually asked

Do you sell software?

No. No licences, no reselling, no commission from any vendor, which is why the recommendation can be that you already own what you need.

We already bought tools. Where do you start?

With what your people must be able to do, not with the tools. The gap is almost never technology, and a licence count is not competence.

How do we know it worked?

Because it is written down before we begin: what each role must be able to do, and how that is assessed. If it cannot be assessed it was not a competence, it was an intention.

How long before something changes?

An assessment takes weeks, a pilot with one team a few months. A rollout without training is what stalls, so the training is not the optional part.
